Set For The Day, 8 by 8 inch original oil painting - $300 unframed. Well, I am behind again. I have four paintings out at various shows and am trying to get some new work ready for a March edition of Southwest Art Magazine. Started a semester of study with Kim English. The first class was a blast! We did 30 paintings; all five minute studies working with a model. When the timer buzzed, the model changed her pose, painters wiped down their canvases, the timer was reset and painters were expected to capture the next pose and background within five minutes. This painting is part of the CLUB 47 CHALLENGE. I will donate $4.70 for every painting or print sold between now and November 15th to the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women Program. Why did I choose this program? 37% of all female deaths in America occur from cardiovascular disease which includes coronary heart disease, and stroke.

As an additional challenge I will insert the color red into each new painting finished between now and then, starting with this one. Look for the red!
