Looking Out to Sea, Beach Scene, Mother and Child on Beach, Seascape Art, Seascape Paintings, Colorado Artist Carol Hein

12 by 9 inch original oil painting.

I just shipped this painting to Labrador Lifeline, an organization that aids purebred Labrador Retrievers in need of new homes, urgent medical care or other assistance in order to live full and productive lives. You can view their website here:
labradorlifeline.org.

If the picture sells at their auction I will also donate $4.70 to the American Heart Association's Go Red program.

Someone asked if I have a painting partner. Yes, I do sometimes paint with other artists but most of the time Tank and Tucker are my "partners", never criticizing - just patiently waiting for their walk.

Nathan Hale Farm, Landscape Paintings, Landscape Arts, Colorado Artist Carol Hein

18 by 24 inch original oil painting. $4.70 from the sale of this painting wil be donated to the American Heart Association's "Go For Red" program.

Nathan Hale grew up in Coventry, CT, graduated from Yale and taught school for two years before joining the Continental Army. During the Battle of Long Island, he volunteered to go behind enemy lines and gather information about troop movements. Nathan was caught by the British and hung as a spy. Many of us were taught his last words - "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country." Nathan Hale was 21 years old. The homestead is now a beautiful state park in CT. Visit it if you are ever in the area.

Red Bears, Abstract Art, Abstract Paintings, Wildlife Art, Wildlife Paintings

Red Bears - 11 by 14 original oil painting. SOLD

Sometimes painting is a real struggle for me. When things just don't come together I go back to basics, simplify subject matter and practice, practice, practice. Red Bears was the result of a practice session using different reds to mold shape. It sold quickly but prints are available. I will contribute $4.70 from each print sold to the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" program.
